A.I.M by Kyle Abraham has, for nearly two decades, been at the forefront of contemporary dance, becoming one of the most acclaimed touring companies in the world. Celebrating its 20th anniversary throughout 2026, the company exemplifies “lush movement, infectious music and magnetic dancers..." as noted by The New York Times. A.I.M has been featured in Vogue, Essence, among many other publications, and was on the April 2025 cover of the Harper’s Bazaar. The company is described as a “postmodern gumbo” with an ardent voice and artistic process informed by robust conversations with people from diverse perspectives. A.I.M performs works by Abraham as well as new and existing works by choreographers who have influenced Abraham's artistry. A.I.M is based in New York City.

Dreaming of dancing with A.I.M? Applications are now open for A.I.M’s 2026 Summer Intensive! Take technique, repertory, and A.I.M-inspired workshops with our Company Members.

August 3-7, 2026

This intensive will be free to all participants to ensure accessibility for our community. Capacity will be limited and selected by application. Recommended for aspiring and professional dancers.

APPLICATION + MORE INFORMATION

The application, which includes submitting a short movement sample and a personal statement will close on April 5th at 11:59pm ET. The movement sample should be no longer than 60 seconds in length, unedited, of yourself with no other dancers pictured. The movement can be your own choreography, an improvisation, or another choreographers work with their permission. The video should not be a dance reel, highly edited, or multiple choreographers work. Video samples should be material you feel best showcases your artistry as a dancer.

Participant capacity is limited and we are only accepting responses for a limited time, so be sure to send yours in ASAP! All applicants will be notified of their acceptance via email by the week of April 20th.
